Jeaneen Barnhart, Artist

In Louisville, springtime is synonymous with the Kentucky Derby and art fairs ... and in this segment we get a taste of both, as we visit the studio of artist Jeaneen Barnhart.

Jeaneen's artwork depicts richly textured equine themes, among others. She has done print and poster commissions for the 2010 Woodford Reserve Kentucky Derby bottle, the Kentucky Derby Festival, the 1996 PGA Golf Experience and the St. James Court Art Show.

A Florida native, Jeaneen started painting at an early age along with her twin sister, Doreen.

After receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts painting degree from Alfred University in 1992, Jeaneen joined her sister in Louisville where they currently reside and continue to collaborate on many local projects.
