Objects of Desire

Established in 1990, Objects of Desire gallery showcases contemporary art to wear.

It's no secret that hats for the Kentucky Oaks and the Kentucky Derby are a fashionable tradition. For the past 19 years, Objects of Desire has been a popular source for couture Derby hats.

In addition, nationally and internationally recognized metal smiths and wearable fiber artists are exhibited on a regular basis through permanent displays of their works and through carefully edited group or solo exhibitions.

In this segment, we take a trip to this Highlands store to chat with owner Julia Comer and try on some of her unique hats; it is Derby time, after all!

Program 424
