Kentucky is known for its limestone caverns, carved over millennia by the slow but steady action of water. But here’s one that came about at the hands of humans.

Louisville Underground is a former limestone mine that sprawls underneath all ten lanes of the Watterson Expressway, part of the Louisville Zoo, and several subdivisions. With almost four million square feet of naturally climate-controlled space, it is now becoming a place to store all kinds of things, including high-end cars and Hollywood films.
