Lotsa Pasta

Did you know there are over 30 types of tortellini and ravioli in one Louisville shop?

With fresh-cut pastas, fresh baked breads, homemade specialties and much more, we visit St. Matthews-based Lotsa Pasta International Food Shop to see how finding a niche in the Louisville food scene has turned into a successful endeavor.

John and Vicki Hale, owners Husband and wife John and Vicki Hale first opened Lotsa Pasta in 1982, on Bardstown Road. Within a decade the business outgrew its location and was moved into a larger, more comfortable space in St. Matthews.

Lotsa Pasta has a loyal following and has become a neighborhood staple. It continues to be a Mom and Pop store where the owners are accessible and even their kids can occasionally be seen working the checkout.
