Louisville Science Center
Family-friendly and lots of fun, too, the Louisville Science Center lets visitors explore a world of science. The center has come a long way from its founding as a “cabinet of curiosities” within the public library system of Kentucky in 1871 to its current status as the region’s leading resource for informal science education.
With some 150 interactive exhibits and activity stations, a four-story IMAX theater, teaching laboratories, a variety of educational programs, and distance learning capabilities, the Louisville Science Center offers something for everyone. It was designated the State Science Center of Kentucky by the 2002 Kentucky General Assembly.
