Louisville Stoneware

In 851, a Louisville potter opened “Lewis Pottery” to make pickling crocks, pitchers and jugs. And, he seemed to reinvent the wheel.

Lewis Pottery eventually became Louisville Stoneware, whose distinctive pieces, like the blue bachelor button patterns, you may even have in your home!

But in addition to the skilled artists at Louisville Stoneware, you can roll up your sleeves and take a spin at making a masterpiece!

Louisville Life visits this landmark business to show you how it's still breaking the mold.
