Rainbow Blossom

A new Rainbow Blossom Natural Food Market has sprouted!

The Auerbach family, the force behind the business, has been at the forefront of natural foods in Louisville for more than 30 years. Starting with their first Rainbow Blossom Natural Food Market in 1977, the family-owned business has flowered into five stores in 2009.

We talk to store founder Rob Auerbach and his second-generation vice president, daughter Summer, about the recent opening of their Highlands store. The catch? This rainbow is green - designed to earn LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) green certification.

Program 407
"Louisville Life" stops by Rainbow Blossom Natural Food Market's new Highlands store and explores other ways Louisvillians are going green. Plus, Et Cetera looks back at football legend Johnny Unitas and his time in Louisville. (#407)
