Kentucky Homefront

The "Kentucky Homefront" radio show features the Commonwealth's finest musicians and storytellers. The broadcasts are reminiscent of radio variety programs of yesterday.

Hosted by folk singer-songwriter John Gage, "Kentucky Homefront" is recorded before a live audience on the 2nd Saturday of every month (except January and July).

In this "Louisville Life" feature story, we sit a spell on the "Kentucky Homefront" front porch as the program celebrates 10 years of down-home fun.

The mission of "Kentucky Homefront" is to preserve, promote, and celebrate live grassroots music and storytelling traditions of the rich and diverse cultures of Kentucky and its surrounding states.

Program 522
"Louisville Life" takes five on the porch of "Kentucky Homefront", glides along the Ohio with on the Spirit of Jefferson, helps celebrate 10 years of Lebowski Fest and more. (#522)
