KET’s longest-running public affairs program, Comment on Kentucky, has been assembling journalists to offer perspectives on the week’s news and newsmakers since 1974.

Host Ferrell Wellman is a veteran broadcast journalist, a member of the Kentucky Journalism Hall of Fame, and a recently retired lecturer in the department of communication at Eastern Kentucky University.

Series creator and original host Al Smith retired from Comment in November 2007.
