Feature Story: Jeneen Wiche may be proof that the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. Her father, long-time Louisville broadcaster Fred Wiche, became a local legend as “The Weekend Gardener.” After his death in 1998, Jeneen picked up the baton and began writing his syndicated garden column. She also shares the microphone with Courier-Journal columnist Bob Hill on their weekly radio show, Home Grown.
Guest: He’s helping Louisville clean up its act: recycling and more with Director of Public Works Ted Pullen.
Around Town: While more news about global warming makes the headlines, some people in Louisville are networking to make the city more sustainable. The founders of the Louisville Sustainability Forum explain its aims and its corporate and religious connections with Breaking New Grounds and the Earth & Spirit Center.
Etc.: Continuing the Earth-friendly theme, Louisville Life spotlights the area’s largest conservation project—the Falls of the Ohio.
