Featured Story: Louisvillians know Brigid Kaelin as a singer/songwriter with unique talent. Outsiders have noticed Kaelin too, including Garrison Keillor, who included her in "Prairie Home Companion", and Elvis Costello, who invited her onstage during his Louisville concert. We learn more about her music and life.

Guest: Candyce talks with Ricky L. Jones, PH.D. Jones is professor, past chair, and Director of the Center for the Study of Crime and Justice in the Black Community in the Department of Pan-African Studies at the University of Louisville.  He is also a noted author and local columnist.

Around Town: In the midst of celebrating 20 years on Louisville’s Bardstown Road in 2008, the popular powerhouse restaurant combo La Bodega/De La Torres was hit by fire. Following their grand re-opening, owners Miguel and Maggie De La Torre talk about their long, successful history in Louisville.  Plus, it's different strokes for different folks at Preston Arts Center Inc., which sells art supplies and offers a variety of classes.  We take you there. 

Etc.: In honor of Black History Month, Et Cetera profiles one of Louisville’s most notable African-American leaders, Lyman T. Johnson. As a civil rights advocate and legendary educator, Johnson helped desegregate both the University of Kentucky (1949) and Louisville and Jefferson County Public Schools (1972-75), among many other memorable accomplishments.
