Marianne Zickuhr Lewis, Preservation Louisville

Marianne Zickuhr Lewis is executive director of Preservation Louisville. Marianne has been with the organization since June 2007.

As Metro Louisville’s citywide nonprofit historic preservation organization, Preservation Louisville works to promote the preservation of the community’s historic resources through education and advocacy.

The group is based at The Brennan House Historic Home.

Marianne is a graduate of Indiana University where her focus was arts administration. Since moving to Louisville in 1989, Marianne has consistently lived in historic Louisville neighborhoods like Portland, Butchertown and Old Louisville. It is these roots that ignited her passion for history and preservation.

Marianne has been working in the History field for the past several years, including as director of The Brennan House Historic Home & Gardens in downtown Louisville. She is enthusiastic about being a part of preservation in the Louisville community and is devoted to the mission of Preservation Louisville.
