For In Performance, actors Warren Hammack and Pamela White read scenes from Shadowlands by William Nicholson. The play is a rather unconventional love story based on the lives of British writer, scholar, and confirmed bachelor C.S. Lewis and an American woman named Joy Gresham.
When not on stage, Hammack and White are some of the guiding hands at Horse Cave Theatre in Western Kentucky. He was the artistic director at the theatre from its opening in 1977 until his retirement in 2001. She is the assistant director.
