Cawood Ledford

The late Kentucky sportscaster, radio voice of the University of Kentucky Wildcats for many years, appeared on In Performance with the Lexington Philharmonic in 1998 to read the classic baseball poem “Casey at the Bat.”

A graduate of Centre College, Ledford became the most celebrated sportscaster in Kentucky history and was inducted into the National Basketball Hall of Fame in 1995. He died on September 5, 2001.
