For more than 25 years, Mike Tracy has been working as both a jazz educator and a jazz performer. He has traveled extensively, teaching and performing around the world and sharing the stage with performers like Ella Fitzgerald, Buddy Rich, Johnny Mathis, the Four Tops, and the Temptations. He is an assistant professor of music and jazz at the University of Louisville and director of the school’s jazz studies program.
Mike plays saxophone with his quartet, which also features Harry Pickens on piano, Tyrone Wheeler on bass, and Darryel Cotten on drums. All are based in Louisville.
