Poet Frank X Walker is director of the Governor’s School for the Arts and a founding member of the Affrilachian Poets. A native of Danville, he graduated from the University of Kentucky. He is the author of several chapbooks and a collection of poetry, Affrilachia, a bookclub@ket selection. He reads two selections from that book in the In Performance program showcasing poetry and jazz.
Walker and his work are also featured in the video Coal Black Voices, a film about the Affrilachian Poets that was supported by the KET Fund for Independent Production.
