Cellist Michael Fitzpatrick lives in Louisville but performs around the world. Among his accomplishments is a performance for the Dalai Lama at the Abbey of Gethsemani near Bardstown in 1996. A subsequent performance in Mammoth Cave grew out of that experience and resulted in a CD entitled Compassion that blended Michaels music with the traditional chants of Trappist and Tibetan monks. For In Performance, Michael presented a solo performance and then accompanied the Gordon Dance Project as part of The Kentucky Collage.
