Taped in 1999, this program is a blend of performances inspired by Spanish, Caribbean, African, and Celtic traditions. It features the Orville Hammond Trio performing several original compositions by pianist Hammond; Ballet Español dancing the flamenco; poet Nikki Finney reading her poem “Black Orion”; and Beau Haddock and Band playing music that’s a mix of folk, pop, and rock. Sky Yancey hosts.
