Jennifer Rubenstein, Louisville Independent Business Alliance (LIBA)

Jennifer Rubenstein Jennifer Rubenstein is helping to "Keep Louisville Weird" by serving as the interim membership manager for the Louisville Independent Business Alliance (LIBA).

The mission of LIBA is to preserve the unique community character of the Metro Louisville area by promoting locally-owned businesses and to educate citizens on the value of shopping locally.

According to the LIBA website, for every $100 consumers spend at a chain store, only $13 remains in the community. When spent at hometown businesses that same $100 keeps $45 in our community.

LIBA's membership consists of diverse independent businesses: from food & drink and retail to entertainment and other services.
