Peter Morrin, University of Louisville Art & Culture Partnership Initiative

Peter Morrin is head of the new Arts and Culture Partnerships Initiative at the University of Louisville. The initiative is designed to bring together arts, history and cultural institutions to enhance community life.

Participating organizations share knowledge, expertise and programs and work together to create a vibrant artistic and cultural environment. Member partners include Farmington Historic Home, Locust Grove, Riverside, The Farnsley-Moremen Landing, Frazier International History Museum, Crane House, the Asia Institute, Inc., Filson Historical Society, Kentucky Museum of Art and Craft, Kentucky Center for African American Heritage, Louisville Visual Art Association, Muhammad Ali Center, Museum of the American Printing House for the Blind, Portland Museum, and the Speed Art Museum.

Prior to his post at UofL, Peter Morrin was the longtime director of the Speed Art Museum. He retired in 2007, after more than 20 years of service.

Mr. Morrin graduated Cum Laude with a B.A. in Fine Arts from Harvard College in 1968 and received an M.F.A. from Princeton University in 1972.
