Cindi Sullivan, Garden Expert
Garden expert Cindi Sullivan is a native Kentuckian, born and raised in Lexington. She is a graduate of University of Kentucky College of Agriculture, with a specialty in Horticulture and spent several years in the Agronomy Department at the University of Kentucky, working on crop physiology research with soybeans.
Cindi and her family have called Louisville home for many years now. While working full-time for the city of Louisville coordinating Open Space maintenance for the city, she also established a reputation as a horticultural consultant. Cindi started her career in broadcast journalism at WAVE 3 TV in Louisville more than twelve years ago, where she provides weekly Lawn and Garden features for WAVE 3 TV News. She is also the host of "WAVE Listens Live!".
In addition, Cindi puts in full time duties at 84WHAS Radio.
Cindi has served as president of the American Community Gardening Association; she is a member of the Board of Directors of the Louisville Nursery Association, Board of Trustees of the Louisville Olmsted Parks Conservancy, and The Kentucky Fish and Wildlife Foundation. She is a Kentucky Certified Nurseryman and a Certified Arborist, as well as a Certified Compost Operator.
Cindi and her husband Steve have two children: a daughter, Stephanie and a son, Bradley.
