Louisville Metro Department of Neighborhoods

Did you know that Louisville Metro Government has a Department of Neighborhoods? The department staff works to build strong neighborhoods block by block by developing and strengthening neighborhood associations, creating safe and beautiful communities, and offering year-round training to empower neighborhood leaders.

The Department of Neighborhoods is also responsible for the Brightside environmental education project, the Metro commmunity outreach office, the Office of International Affairs, the MetroCall government information hotline, and the Mayor’s Special Events Office.
