Muth’s Candies has been a family tradition since 1921. A dream of Rudy Muth’s when he returned from World War I, the business became a reality with the support of family and friends, who helped establish the shop on East Market in Louisville. The fact that there were already many good candy manufacturers in the region made Rudy even more determined for his to be the best.
Rudy’s most important “secret ingredient,” says the family, was love. While perfecting candy recipes using only the finest ingredients, Rudy and his wife set out to build a business where their employees would be like family and their customers would become friends. And many family members and friends have loved working at Muth’s through the years. Today, sisters Martha, Rose Ann, and Pam keep the business going ... with the help of their own families.
Located at 630 E. Market in downtown Louisville, Muth’s is a popular Easter destination where locals flock to fill their baskets. You can find jellies, homemade Modjeskas, brittles, and of course chocolate. The shop web site has a complete list of the candy selections, plus contact and ordering information.
