"Bars to Walls"
In the Fall of 2011, doctoral student/probation and parole investigator Kathy Salomon bridged the dichotomy in her life by curating an art exhibit, featuring art from Kentucky prison inmates. The exhibit, “Bars to Walls”, was held at the Hite Art Galleries in Louisville, Kentucky.
From drawings, paintings, sculptures and other mixed media, "Louisville Life" explores the unique art — some made from toilet paper and Cheetos bags — and learns what this kind of exhibit means for the community and the imprisoned artists.
