Waldorf is the largest and fastest-growing independent school system in the world, with 2,000 schools in 83 countries. As one of the more than 200 members of the Association of Waldorf Schools of North America, the Waldorf School of Louisville is dedicated to supplying the highest quality education for children by providing a creative, supportive learning environment based on the philosophical and pedagogical principles of Dr. Rudolf Steiner.
An Austrian scientist, educator, and philosopher, Steiner (1861-1925) based his approach on bringing interdisciplinary and multisensory learning to all children. The Waldorf curriculum’s rich blend of academics and arts aims to provide a comprehensive education in response to the needs of the child at every stage of development.
