Huber's Orchard & Winery
What's the secret behind a family business that's over a hundred years old? The answer is down on the farm. In this case, Huber's Orchard & Winery in Starlight, Indiana.
Patriarch Simon Huber settled this Southern Indiana farm in 1843, bringing with him from Baden-Baden, Germany his years of experience in fruit growing and wine making. From its humble 80 acre beginning, the farm has expanded to over 600 acres. Simon's vision has been perpetuated through the 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th generation Huber's living and working on the farm.
Today the business includes a farmer's market, petting zoo, an ice cream factory and cheese shop among other attractions.
In this Louisville Life story, we visit the award-winning winery and the popular orchard where you can pick your own produce season after season.
