Heather French Henry

Heather French Henry Heather and her family

When it comes to being a hyphenate, Heather French Henry excels more than most in Louisville.

She’s a wife, mother, foundation director, author, former Miss America; and she’s adding another: designer.

We talk to Heather in her Bardstown Road studio about her new line of pageant wear - Heather French Henry Collection, her continued dedication to veterans issues and whether she thinks her two daughters would consider following in her high-heeled footsteps.

The non-profit Heather French Foundation for Veterans was established as a reaction to the overwhelming needs facing America’s veterans. The foundation’s goal is to provide support to community-based providers who offer services in the areas of homelessness, healthcare, and housing.

In addition, Heather and her husband, Dr. Steve Henry (former Kentucky Lt. Gov.), operate The Rosemary Clooney House, Inc., in Augusta, Ky. The non-profit foundation was established to preserve singer Rosemary Clooney's house, to open it to the public and to house memorabilia from her life and career.
