Kentucky Derby Museum - Derby Fashion History

Anyone who’s seen the Kentucky Derby knows it’s much more than a horse race. For many, the question of “Who wore what?” is more important than “Who won?”

Now for the first time ever, the Kentucky Derby Museum is mounting a comprehensive exhibition on Derby fashion, starting with a display of lavish gowns.

We talk to the experts about fashion’s important role in Louisville’s signature event.

The Kentucky Derby Museum, one of Kentucky’s premier attractions, captures the pride, traditions, and excitement of the “greatest two minutes in sports”.

Located at Gate 1 of Churchill Downs, the Museum offers two floors of exciting exhibits giving visitors an in-depth look into Thoroughbred racing and the Kentucky Derby – the first jewel in racing’s Triple Crown.
