Louisville Youth Performing Arts School (YPAS)

With the release of the updated musical "Fame" and the TV show "Glee", new interest has sparked in Louisville’s “Fame” school — the Youth Performing Arts School (YPAS), which was founded in 1978.

"Louisville Life" looks at this institution and how it educates students while simultaneously preparing them for a professional life in the arts. We also share memories of some noted YPAS alums, including lead “Pussycat Doll”, Nicole Scherzinger.

Program 406
Louisville's "Fame" school and memories of some of its brightest stars; see what's cooking with the Bon Vivant Savant dining club; and the story of a Louisville native who found his life’s work in the Far East and became a national hero to the Japanese. Plus, green living with Merridian Home Furnishings. (#406)
