Mother's Day 2011

Louisville Life marks Mother’s Day 2011 with a look at three area mothers.

One of Louisville’s best known moms is Heather French Henry - author, clothing designer and former Miss America. We share how Heather wears many hats but views her most important role as mom.

Few local moms have their hands more full than Stephanie Powell. Stephanie has a six-month old and five nearly 10-year-olds. That’s right quints! We meet the newest addition to the Powell clan.

And we introduce one of Louisville’s newest moms — Kelli Brodersen, who juggles infant duties with her associate producing job on "Louisville Life"!

Joshua Brodersen's premature birth in 2010 motivated Kelli to help an area institution dedicated to improving children’s health issues.

She raised money for the Crusade for Children, and little Joshua was among 29 kids who vied for the Crusade’s annual baby calendar.

The Crusade returns 100% of all donations to organizations that serve special needs children in all 120 Kentucky counties and more than 50 southern Indiana counties. Learn how you can donate here.

For more on the Crusade for Children, watch our stories in Program 125 and Program 226.

Heather French Henry is also featured in "Louisville Life" Program 315.
