About the Series

It’s the home of the fastest two minutes in sports, the birthplace of the “Happy Birthday” song, and where Lewis met Clark to plan their trip west. Of course Louisville is Kentucky’s largest city, but did you know that it’s also the biggest producer of disco balls in the United States? Has a downtown with more cast-iron buildings than anywhere but SoHo? And can claim a founding role in the National Spelling Bee?

KET’s Emmy Award-winning Louisville Life shows you what’s distinctive about Louisville’s neighborhoods, introduces talked-about locals, and helps you plan your next go-see trip or night out on the town. Each week, we explore the city that forged world champion Muhammad Ali, writer Hunter S. Thompson, and television journalist Diane Sawyer to get to know its people and places, understand its past, and get a glimpse of its future.

Louisville Life is produced and directed by Gary Pahler. Jayne McClew is producer/writer; the associate producer is Angelic Phelps. You can e-mail the production team at .
