Feature Story: In the first part of a two-part segment, Louisville Life attends a special VIP Antiques Roadshow party and goes behind the scenes of the series’ visit to Louisville. You’ll meet host Mark L. Walberg, Executive Producer Marsha Bemko, and appraiser Wes Cowan, who was born in Louisville.
Guest: David Friedlander is a long-time antiques dealer in Louisville and a recognized authority in numerous areas, including vintage toys. After years in the Highlands, on Bardstown Road, Friedlander has moved his antiques business to St. Matthews. He dishes on the local market in this studio visit.
Around Town: Louisville Life looks at the history of the Louisville Antique Mall, home to five stories of merchandise from more than 200 dealers. We also introduce you to three very different collectors: a toaster collector; a Star Wars collector; and chef John Castro, who collects 1950s-era furnishings.
Etc.: The Brennan House Historic Home is an antiquer’s paradise. The Italianate-style home is furnished in Victorian style and is one of only two homes in the state that contain an entirely original (and priceless) family collection. The house is no longer open for public tours, but Louisville Life takes you inside this incredible snapshot in time.
