J. Russell Couch, Lexington Children's Theatre

Russell Couch

In his second year with Lexington Children's Theatre (LCT), Russell Couch first came to LCT as an intern in the summer of 1998. After having served as the Arts Management intern for months, Russell was promoted to a salary position last November. Russell's interests are as varied as his background and his training. While Russell has a BA in Theatre from Berea College, he has also shown a strong commitment to community service and non-profit management through his internships with Americorps and Public Allies: Washington, D.C. "All three institutions have prepared me well for my current vocation." says Couch, who not only serves as a member of the administrative team at LCT, but also a director and teacher. As an instructor for LCT's Theatre School, Russell teaches two classes per quarter, his favorite being Period Styles and Movement, and is the director for LCT's 1999 production of "A Christmas Carol".
