Larry Snipes, Lexington Children's Theatre
Larry E. Snipes has served as Lexington Children's Theatre's (LCT) artistic director and chief staff administrator since 1979. After completing his MA in theatre for young audiences at Alabama's University of Montevallo, he worked for two years as a professional actor and director in the Washington, D.C. area. He has directed more than 50 productions for LCT and performed in many others. He is also active in the development of new plays for young audiences most recently directing the world premiere of John Urquhart's "Liza and the Riddling Cave". He has served as Secretary and Treasurer for the Kentucky Theatre Association, on the board of the Lexington Arts and Cultural Council and on the board of the Southeastern Theatre Conference as Chair of the Children's Theatre Division.
