Jean St. John, Covington Community Center



Jean St. John

Jean St. John graduated from the University of Kentucky with a BGS in Theatre and Dance. She is a founding member of My Nose Turns Red Theatre Company, a clown and circus arts organization. She has been a roster artist for the Kentucky Arts Council's Artist-in-Residency program, the Greater Columbus Arts Council's Artist-in-Schools program and the Different Ways of Knowing program. Ms. St. John is working with the Covington Community Center as Community Arts Coordinator, a position that grew out of a three year Kentucky Arts Council's Community Artist-in-Residency program. She facilitated and directed the multi-year project, "Jack in the City". "Jack in the City" was a community oral history project that culminated in a multi-media performance in November 1997. As Community Arts Coordinator, Ms. St. John facilitates cultural programming, writes grants,
directs an after-school program, and helps community organizations plan arts programs.
