Lorinda Jones

Lorinda uses her talent as a harpist to help others. She is a Music Therapist working with both children and adults with a wide range of needs. She is also a member of the ensemble, Just By Chance.

Just By Chance blends traditional music with classical harmonies and arrangements in the songs and dances of Ireland and the British Isles. They also perform American traditional and sacred music.

Harpist Lorinda Jones made her debut recording, "Night Cap", playing tinwhistle, oboe, piano, recorder, mountain dulcimer, psaltery, and autoharp. Adding her own melody arrangements to the ensemble is Brenda Brooks on hammered dulcimer and flute.Brenda & Rob
Rob Smith blends traditional harmonies and counterpoint on the violin, fiddle, or cello. Dell Harris completes the ensemble with a touch of mandolin and a combination of rhythm and bass on the guitar. Lorinda & Dell
Together they produced "A Midwinter's Feast", in 1998, a collection of Christmas and seasonal tunes.

Just By Chance performs in and around Kentucky, and appears annually at the Cincinnati Celtic Festival, the BCT Madrigal dinner and the Heartland Dulcimer Festival.
