Jean Covert, Fiber Focus Kentucky 2000
Jean Covert has been a resident of Lexington, KY since August 1991. She has a degree in art and for years was a potter and basketmaker. Having been raised in a family where fiber arts were an integral part of her mother's life, it isn't surprising that she eventually developed an interest in fiber related media. Jean's current interests include weaving, spinning, and working with surface design on fabric, particularly silkscreening. She has combined an interest in computer art and silkscreening and print fabric to be used for wearable and household items. Jean is an extremely active person in the Lexington community as well as being Chairperson of Fiber Focus Kentucky 2000.
