Mary Ann Taylor-Hall

Mary Ann Taylor-Hall’s short fiction has appeared in The Sewanee Review, The Colorado Quarterly, The Kenyon Review, The Paris Review, The Florida Review, The Chattahoochee Review, Shenandoah, and Ploughshares. She has won a PEN/Syndicated Fiction Award and received grants from the National Endowment for the Arts and the Kentucky Arts Council, and her work has been anthologized in Best American Short Stories. Her first novel, Come and Go, Molly Snow, was published in February 1995 and was the August 1999 selection of bookclub@ket.

Mary Ann lives on a farm on the Harrison-Scott county line with her husband, Kentucky Poet Laureate James Baker Hall.

Tonight's show is all about writers. We will meet Ruthie Maslin, Executive Director, Kentucky Writers' Coalition; Kathleen Driskell, President, Kentucky Writers' Coalition; Mary Ann Taylor-Hall, Author; Sarah Gorham, President and Editor-in-Chief, Sarabande Books;Tim Krekel, Singer/Songwriter, "Tim Krekel & the Groovebillys". We also took our Mixed Media cameras out and followed Rochelle Riley to explore more Kentucky authors. (#213)
