Marty Henton is the Director of The Living Arts & Science Center in Lexington, Kentucky. She has been with the center since 1981. Amongst her duties as Director of the center, Marty works within the community and the organization to promote the arts and sciences and insures accessibility and diversity in the arts.
Marty graduated from Purdue University in 1970 with a B.A. in Art Education. She then received her M.A. in Art Education from Western Kentucky University in 1972. She went on to teach art at Western Kentucky University, Margaret Hall School and University of Kentucky before joining The Living Arts & Science Center in Lexington.
The objective of The Living Arts & Science Center is to enhance the lives of people in our community through creative exploration and experiences in art and science and help make the arts more diverse and accessible.
