Gladstone, Rock ’n’ Roll Band

Gladstone

Here’s how Gladstone describes itself:

“Now we’ll try not to get overly descriptive or talk about a hybrid of 16 different musical genres tied together to form a picture of our band. It is unnecessary and redundant and unnecessary. Gladstone is a rock ’n’ roll band. Our musical hearts may have fallen in love with steel guitars, banjos, space and rhythm, insect noises, and crying strings, but our souls lie firmly in the arms of three chords and way too many decibels. That is our essence, our beings, our roots. Like cells that hold genetic information, our musical DNA holds the basic building blocks that make up our past, present, and future musical evolution.

“Gladstone’s history is just beginning, but at the same time has been years in the making. We invite you to join us as we discover what the past might reveal and the future will hold.”

Program 328

Gladstone rocks the studio, Gerald McDaniel discusses his book Aindreas the Messenger, and Madeline visits sculptor Wyatt Gragg and introduces a new feature: Surfing the Arts. (#328)
