Kevin Hardesty, Actors’ Guild of Lexington

Kevin Hardesty

Kevin Hardesty is both a busy actor and an associate producing director for Actors’ Guild of Lexington, where he also heads up the education program. A performer and production associate with more than 20 years’ experience, he joined the AGL staff in August of 1998.

Kevin continues to make his presence known both on and off stage: He played Hamlet for Lexington’s 1999 Shakespeare in the Park Festival and directed Romeo and Juliet for the 2000 edition. His other Shakespeare credits include the title roles of Romeo and Macbeth and leading roles in Julius Caesar, The Comedy of Errors, As You Like It, Henry VI, and Othello. He has also played George in Of Mice and Men and won Smitty Awards for his performances in Beast on the Moon and The Turn of the Screw for Actors’ Guild. With Phoenix Group Theatre, Kevin performed in The Glass Menagerie, Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, and Equus. He played Epstein in the Broadway tour of Neil Simon’s Biloxi Blues.

Kevin’s film credits include Heathers, Happy Together, 100 Proof, and Cheap-Dead-Stolen-Red. On TV, he’s been seen in The Cavanaughs, TV 101, and Family of Spies. Kevin also appeared with Ashley Judd in The Ryan Interview, an Arthur Miller teleplay produced by KET in high-definition television and aired nationally on PBS.
