Debra Hille, sculptor

Debra Hille Debra Hille is a sculptor and a juried member of the Kentucky Guild of Artists and Craftsmen. A native Kentuckian, she has always been drawn to the beauty of the mountains, creeks, and forests. Nature has stirred her creativity since childhood and continues to inspire her work today; Debra creates her sculptural pieces to mimic its organic and often sensuous forms.

Debra says that her intent is to explore and share the connection between the natural world and human experience. She believes that art is not only a means of self-expression, but also a way of healing and a vehicle for social change.

Several examples of Debra’s work were showcased in the winter 2000/2001 issue of CAYLX, A Journal of Art and Literature by Women.
