“Youth in the Arts”

Flint

Program 525 introduced a new Mixed Media feature called “Youth in the Arts.” The first installment profiled three young people who are serving as interns for local arts organizations: Christopher Ashworth, an acting apprentice at Actors Theatre of Louisville; Stacey Garrett, an arts intern for the Louisville Visual Art Association; and Flint Collins (above), an education intern for the Speed Art Museum. Flint, Christopher, and Stacey are just a few of the many young adults who are gaining valuable experience while working as interns.

Many local arts organizations offer internships, which can serve as a wonderful opportunity for those interested in starting a career in the arts.
