The country rock band High Noon was formed in 2001 by Dave Helbig, Mike Stricker, Ben Pearson, Chris Hodges, and Terry Emerson. They had noticed the lack of rockin country music in the Louisville/Southern Indiana area, so they began playing in small clubs and bars around town to try to fill the gap. The band received great response from club owners and soon developed a growing fan base.
High Noon performs a wide array of cover songs by artists ranging from Brooks & Dunn, Toby Keith, and Kenny Chesney to Hank Williams and George Jones. The band members also have written some of their own material. They first recorded in Louisville at Head First Media. At the time of their Mixed Media visit, they were working on a project at Sound Emporium Studios in Nashville, TN.
