Zoé Strecker, Sculptor

Zoé Strecker is a sculptor and writer who lives and works on a farm in Mercer County near the Kentucky River with her husband, potter Mike Frasca, and their two young daughters.

Since 1990, she has been creating site-specific sculptures for public places like museums, schools, libraries, health clinics, parks, and churches in Kentucky, Colorado, Alaska, and Tennessee. She also makes smaller-scale works for public and private exhibition and collection. Currently she is working on designs and proposals for new public projects as well as more experimental gallery-oriented pieces.

Zoé received a master’s degree in sculpture from the New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University in 1997. Her undergraduate degree was in English literature, from Grinnell College in Iowa in 1988.
