The Betweeners

The Betweeners

The Betweeners The original tunes of the Betweeners cover many hues in the spectrum of American roots music, falling somewhere between bluegrass and blues while squeezing in plenty of swing and soul.

This acoustic band is not easily categorized. Influenced by artists such as Ry Cooder, Willie Nelson, Mose Allison, and John Prine, the Betweeners sing honest and intelligent songs in a number of diverse styles and manage not to sound like either a traditional string band or an unplugged rock band. Their concerts consist mainly of original songs, plus occasional covers from about every form of American music, reworked with the Betweeners’ sonic and improvisational flair.
