Ultratone

Ultratone

Ultratone, an adult alternative band based in Louisville, features seasoned musicians with an original approach to rock music. They draw on a variety of influences, from rock to jazz, to create a rich, layered sound. Songwriter/singer/guitarist Joe Scheirich leads the group with songs that span a wide stylistic range. To them are added atmospheric layers of sound from Joe (guitars/keyboards) and Mike (guitars) McGinnis, a powerful yet tasteful rhythm section with John Hulcher (bass) and Nick Hass (drums), and a fresh vocal style with a lot of dimension from Joe and Krista Terhune (backing vocals).

Ultratone’s songs are intelligent and hook-laden. Lyrically, they lean toward melancholy, since broken hearts and dreams make for good tales and songs. But these songs are not morose. Instead, they are meant to inspire and lift up the weary.

On stage, Ultratone has been opening for bigger and bigger acts and headlining at packed clubs in Louisville and the region.
