Scott Provancher, Louisville Orchestra
![]() Scott Provancher was named executive director of the Louisville Orchestra in April 2004. He comes to Louisville from Rockford, IL, where he was executive director of the Rockford Symphony Orchestra. Scott also completed a year-long orchestra management fellowship sponsored by the American Symphony Orchestra League, during which he worked closely with his counterparts from the San Francisco Symphony, the South Dakota Symphony, the Fort Wayne Philharmonic, and the Aspen Music Festival and School. Before the fellowship, Scott was associate director of development for the Syracuse Symphony Orchestra in New York. A musician as well as an administrator, he was co-founder and general manager of the Innergroove Percussion Trio and holds a Bachelor of Music degree in percussion performance from the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY. Scott is a member of the boards of directors of the Illinois Council of Orchestras and the Friends of the Coronado Theatre.
