Lexington Ballet

Lexington Ballet

Luis Dominguez The Lexington Ballet recently celebrated its 30th season of producing high-quality professional ballet performances. The company also operates Central Kentucky’s only pre-professional ballet school.

Artistic Director Luis Dominguez, who joined the ballet in 2003, brings an exciting blend of classical, romantic, and neo-classical ballet to the stage, reflecting the evolution of ballet through the centuries. One example of the Lexington Ballet’s commitment to artistic excellence was the commissioning and presentation of the new work Cabbage Moon, based on the children’s book by Jan Wahl. It premiered in May 2004.
