Mike Tracy University of Louisville's Mike Tracey, Director of Jazz Studies for the School of Music is excited about being one of four universities chosen as a host site for this year’s Open World Program. Sponsored by the Open World Leadership Center at the Library of Congress, this program is dedicated to the bridging of communities through the exchange of culture and music. Both Russian and U of L jazz students will perform and study together at various festivals and clubs. They will also record tracks for a CD that each of the visitors will take from Louisville as a product of their residency at the university.

Mixed Media, Kentucky's only weekly arts series, presents painter Robert Head, visits a recent Community Arts Summit & Street Fair and hears jazz with visiting Russian students in Louisville.
